It’s taken its sweet time, but it seems like spring has finally arrived. It’s a good thing too, because summer’s just around the corner!
I feel like I’ve been neglecting this poor little blog, and I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve been spending so much time away from my desk that I haven’t had a chance to blog, or too much time at my desk working! It could actually be a bit of both.
It’s really been a momentous month in the Barclay family. Just the other day we welcomed these two little guys, our first grandchildren.
If that wasn’t exciting enough, our other son is getting married next week!
I have to say, being a parent (or stepparent) isn’t always easy, but when you see them all grown up and settled into married life and good careers, it’s all worth it.
My reading slowed down a lot when I started reading Bone and Bread. It was okay, but not compelling enough to keep me up late reading, especially since I started waking up crazy early right around the same time, maybe because the sun comes up so much earlier now. As a result, I’m a bit behind on my Reading Challenge, but I’m working on the next one now and will let you know when I’ve finished it.
On one of my Facebook groups, I posted this fun question which has generated some very interesting responses: If a holiday was named in your honour, what would it commemorate, and how would it be celebrated?
